Since the Coronavirus was declared a global pandemic in March 2020, several countries including Uganda implemented mandatory lockdowns that restrict the movement of people. Uganda closed schools for 2 years, making it the longest the children were away from school during the pandemic. This course came with its challenges. Most of the children could not go back to school and now couple with inflation, most parents are unable to get their children back to school.
This relief fund is targeting 50 primary school children where we plan to pay for their school fees and enable them to go back to school and continue with their studies. In the Ugandan education system, there are 3, 3 month-terms in a year, and we pay up to $60 per student/term, which is about $20 per month, per student. This includes their tuition fees and all scholastic requirements. We are looking for generous donors that can support a single student, 5 students, or even 10 students per month. We hope you can join this effort to support the children in need.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. – Galatians 6:9
